Anesthesiologist & Pain Specialist located in Anthem, AZ & Scottsdale, AZ

About Dr Innes

Dr. Innes is originally from Salt Lake City, Utah. He attended Utah State University for his undergraduate studies. After that he attended VCU in Richmond, Virginia, where he received his MD. He completed a general surgery internship at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC after which he finished his training at the University of Utah where he completed both a residency in Anesthesiology and a fellowship in Chronic and Interventional Pain Management. He is double board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology in Pain Medicine and Anesthesiology.

Dr. Innes has wanted to be a Doctor his whole life and is excited about the opportunity to help patients become pain free so they can return to doing the things that are important to them and the quality of life that they had before being in pain. He has a special interest in headache care, regenerative medicine, interventional spine procedures and sports related injuries. While he enjoys the interventional side of pain management, he finds the interpersonal aspect the most rewarding. He loves the chance to spend time with patients to get to know them and know how to best help them accomplish their goals. He strongly believes that an interdisciplinary approach like the one at the heart of the mission of Arizona Pain Relief is truly the only way to treat pain. He is excited to be part of a team that is having great success in restoring patient function and helping patients become pain free.

Outside of work Dr. Innes enjoys spending time with his family, loves playing and watching sports (especially golf, football and basketball), is passionate about travelling and seeing the world, enjoys reading, is always on the lookout for delicious food and enjoys being outdoors as much as possible. He is a die-hard Utah Jazz and Utah State Aggies fan. He is looking forward to enjoying all the culture, natural beauty and world class golf that Arizona has to offer.
